This seven-phase masterplan will deliver up to 1,400 new homes, commercial space and a new school on a former brownfield site, extending and transforming one of Kent’s most historic cities. Working closely with HTA Design, Countryside and Hyde, BPTW has led on developing detailed design for the first three phases of the development

Aiming to establish a thriving and diverse community, we have developed 459 homes of all tenures, ranging from family homes to marionettes and apartments, as well as commercial floorspace, and a new hotel. Drawing inspiration from the wider Medway area, the designs strike a balance between referencing the rich, historic fabric of the city and offering a new vibrant urban quarter. To improve connections between the town and the River Medway, Rochester Riverside is set within a network of public, open space, specifically designed for the historical riverside location.
