With more than 25 years’ experience in construction, Design Technology Partner Mark has an exceptional understanding of the housing industry, its challenges and how BIM protocols can be utilised to deliver wide-ranging benefits for our clients. As a BIM specialist, Mark works with the UK’s leading private developers, housing associations, local authorities, consultants and contractors to embed BIM strategies into their organisations. Working across a range of BIM services, including Consultancy, Information Management and Coordination, Mark has enhanced coordination and collaboration between design teams for our clients. He has also transformed the way they approach the design process and ensured structures are in place to manage buildings efficiently.

A thought leader in BIM, Mark regularly shares his expertise in the field with industry-leading organisations. He achieves this by outlining how the gap between BIM and technology can be bridged to deliver a Golden Thread of digital information. Additionally, Mark combines his experience in construction and his knowledge of managing and implementing technology to assist our clients with embedding BIM processes into their organisations. He also advises on systems which work towards a digital approach required under the Building Safety Bill.

Alongside this, Mark leads on BPTW’s involvement in BIM4HA, part of the UK BIM Alliance, contributing to industry guidance on BIM implementation for housing associations published by the National Housing Federation. Mark also manages BPTW’s involvement with L&Q’s and the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities’ Golden Thread Initiative – a programme which is piloting ways that organisations can produce a standardised digital Golden Thread of building information for high-rise residential buildings.
