As BIM Coordinator, BPTW supports the client and design team to deliver a project that maximises the potential of BIM. Commencing with training to the design team on the use of the BIM Execution Plan, BPTW has assisted in the delivery of an accurate, coordinated federated building model. Our actions have included leading clash detection workshops to identify coordination errors, auditing the 3D model for compliance with the BEP, and facilitating accurate information exchange through the Common Data Environment. These actions aim to achieve detailed and accurate information for the later stages, including tender and technical design and construction.
BPTW’s scope as BIM Coordinator has included creating and managing the BIM Execution Plan (BEP); clash detection; audit and coordination activities for the 3D building model; auditing information for naming conventions; provision and management of Common Data Environment; and delivering training to the design team on BEP. The project was granted planning permission in 2023.
