Our architects have created proposals for 198 new homes on numerous underutilised garage and infill sites across the borough. Part of an ambitious programme to provide much needed affordable housing in the area the designs deliver a range of effective flat and house typologies.

BPTW has been  involved at a strategic level, undertaking high level assessment work in analysing opportunities and constraints on numerous sites across the borough in order to prioritise those to bring forward for development. Schemes include a mixture of houses and flats, ranging from small single storey bungalows to a 13-storey building comprising 50 dwellings. The varying nature of the sites, often sat in close proximity of other residential buildings,  have required a bespoke design  approach to each site to ensure the fit-in with their surroundings.

Responding to an identified need within the borough, most of the homes being built are 2-bedroom units for affordable rent, at 65% of the private market rental value.

These sites form part of a development programme which is expected to deliver 500 new affordable homes by 2021.
