Leading BPTW’s urban design team, Scott has developed a strong place-based approach to drive new and ambitious urban design and masterplanning projects.

Expanding the practice’s capabilities and strengthening a growing portfolio of large-scale projects focusing on regeneration and urban expansion in a range of contexts, he has instilled a design ethos within the team based on exemplar placemaking.

Throughout his career, Scott has collaborated with both private and public sector organisations to develop a rich and varied portfolio of urban design projects, including being the highest-ranking urban designer in the UK Government via Public Practice, leading the delivery of the National Model Design Code testing programme.
He has also contributed and co-authored a range of national publications on innovative design methods to enhance placemaking and suburban densification.

Scott is a Member of the Design South East (DSE) Expert Design Review Panel and a member on the Urban Design Group Executive committee.
