The site itself is surrounded by under-used industrial land and is situated in both City Airport’s safety zone and a designated floodzone.
Striving to mediate these challenging site factors, and achieve at least 30% family housing – where every home benefits from waterfront views, and access to generous communal amenity – BPTW demonstrated a rigorous attention throughout the design process.
The building is shaped by generous and balanced proportions as well as crisp architectural detailing, creating a welcoming impression at street level. Complementing this, the diverse outdoor spaces each offer their own character, further enhancing the impressive design quality of this exciting landmark scheme.
As a result, the scheme acts a catalyst for development on the waterfront, whilst optimising buildability and cost efficiency to ensure viability and value for money.
