Rochester Riverside has been shortlisted in two categories, ‘Civil and Infrastructure including Public Realm’ and ‘Residential Super Major 50 and Above’. Appointed by Countryside and Hyde, our architectural team have designed 656 homes as part of the 1,400-home masterplan which includes ample commercial space and a hotel, helping to create a thriving and diverse community in one of South East England’s most historic cathedral cities. Our architectural and planning consultancy team recently secured planning approval for Phase 7 of the development, which will provide 154 new homes and introduce two new and bespoke house types which overcome the constraint of building on the narrowest site in the masterplan.

Prime 1 (Corporation Street)

Our Prime 1development for mhs homes was also shortlisted in the ‘Residential Super Major 50 and Above’. The scheme is a 100% affordable development which provides 89 attractive apartments, designed to maximise views of Rochester’s City Wall, Cathedral and Castle. Alongside providing new homes, Prime 1 offers public realm improvements including the creation of a tree-lined boulevard and private gardens shaped by grass and beautiful wildflowers to enhance the streetscape and provide a soft buffer from the busy thoroughfare road. Located on a key route into Rochester high street, the scheme also connects both the historic areas of the town with new developments including Rochester Riverside. A fantastic scheme which provides high quality affordable housing.

We look forward to the winners being announced in September. Learn more about the project here: https://www.bptw.co.uk/projects/corporation-street/
