Age-friendly, accessible homes can transform older residents’ lives, bringing many wellbeing, community, and health benefits. BPTW Partner Neill Campbell recently met the new residents, John and Jenny Diprose, of our award-nominated, later-living development, Constable Road, to discuss the transformational impact that their new home has had on their lives.

In collaboration with Gravesham Borough Council, Constable Road provides seven bespoke one-bedroom houses designed to improve residents’ quality of life while also addressing the housing crisis by encouraging downsizing and freeing up larger family homes. The development was completed earlier this year and was shortlisted for the 2022 Inside Housing Development Awards in the ‘Best older peoples housing development’ category.
