Set within extensive public realm, this mixed-use scheme regenerates its location on Deptford Creek by opening up a new waterside route between Creek Road and the Trinity Laban Conservatoire. The scheme will provide 249 homes across two buildings of 12 and 23 storeys in height.

BPTW secured planning permission for the development following an overwhelmingly positive response at committee resulting in unanimous approval.

As a Private Rental Sector (PRS) scheme, Union Wharf is unique in its strong design narrative, through which we were able to emphasise the importance of community engagement and architectural quality. Delivering double the density of that in the London Plan policy, the scheme was also highly commended for the  approach to high quality affordable housing. At committee, features such as mixed-tenure accommodation and tenure blind entrances were highlighted as precedents of sustainable development across the Borough.  The scheme won the Housing Design Awards PRS Award in 2016 and was shortlisted in the RTPI Awards 2018 for the category ‘Excellence in Planning – Large Schemes’.
