We are pleased to announce that The Everglades, a scheme delivering 33 affordable homes on infill sites within an existing estate in Hounslow, has received planning approval. The project is the second in a body of work BPTW will be working with London Borough of Hounslow on as part of their 5000 pledge to provide 5000 new and affordable homes by 2022.

Both BPTW’s Architecture and Planning teams were appointed by the council for the project which will involve the demolition of the existing Everglades block to be replaced with a four-storey residential building, as well as the construction of three part-3, part-4 storey infill blocks along Pears Road. The scheme will use a simple palette of materials and architectural detailing inspired by the local context, helping the new buildings to sit comfortably with the existing estate. Carefully designed to respond to  numerous site constraints, The Everglades will be a highly sustainable scheme which will be sited around large landscaped communal gardens.

This is the second application for London Borough of Hounslow which has now been granted, following Orchard Road, a zero-carbon project which will provide 5 new affordable homes in Brentford, at the beginning of March.
