Teviot estate is now underway with Phase 1 commencing on site. The beginning of the landmark regeneration will deliver 475 new homes, including three apartment buildings and four terrace houses that will transform the former estate and provide much-needed new housing for residents. Of these, 160 are genuinely affordable and 45% of which are family dwellings that aim to respond to the needs of intergenerational homes within the ward. The homes have been integrated within the newly created Teviot Green park, affordable workspaces, a convenience store, and new retail spaces that front Langdon Park.

Gateway 2 Approval

Another major milestone has been approved within Phase 1, with three apartment buildings, classed as higher risk buildings, receiving gateway 2 approval last month. This achievement reflects the collaborative approach between the project team, client, and stakeholders, and demonstrates our continued commitment to delivering safe, high-quality residential developments.

Teviot Estate is on track to becoming a model for community focused regeneration within London. Showing the possibilities of combining attractive housing that integrates social value without compromising on safety.

Social Impact Led

In addition to the 475 new homes, the development will act as the catalyst for the wider development that aims to serve the community in which it houses.

The regeneration of the Teviot estate has demonstrated a thorough approach to social value. Using HACT (Housing Associations’ Charitable Trust), a wellbeing valuation methodology, social value has been continuously measured against initiatives developed through the plans. HACT are a key partner within the development and continue to provide specialist advice on approaches as the development moves into its delivery stage. The development has been guided by four key themes that have driven the social delivery. Community, Homes, Streets and Parks.

The 10+ year programme that has been developed aims to leverage maximum social value possible for both residents and local community.

The phase aims to deliver an updated public realm, new commercial and retail spaces that have been designed to serve the community in addition to  the newly developed mosque.
