We are pleased to announce that BPTW recently won the Workforce Development category in the Best of Royal Greenwich Business Awards 2023.
The Workforce Development category recognises businesses that care about their workforce and the local people of Greenwich by showing a commitment to staff through training and apprenticeships and working with people in the borough to train up the workforce of tomorrow.
The development of our staff is central to our business practice and this award win helps recognise and motivate our ongoing drive to make BPTW an inclusive and outstanding workplace. This year we have funded 4 Level 7 Architectural Apprenticeships and 7 newly qualified architects, as well as providing ongoing support and training for 42 architectural students. Our drive to upskill staff in sustainable design has also seen BPTW support 5 staff in gaining Passivhaus Certification.
We are proud to continue to provide a range of career opportunities for local people. In the past year, we have delivered 15 work experiences with diverse local students. We have also expanded our commitment to bettering the local workforce by partnering with the London School of Architecture, which has included welcoming three of their students to the practice and supporting their school programmes.
This year’s award win represents a further milestone in our efforts to contribute to staff and community development.
