BPTW has now secured planning permission for 31 100% affordable homes at Roman Rise on behalf of the London Borough of Lambeth’s development arm Homes for Lambeth. The new five-to seven-storey apartment building is arranged to ensure all residents benefit from the communal garden and existing, mature trees while maximising the views over central London offered from the site’s elevated position. The design development was progressed with considerable stakeholder and local authority engagement, including an online community consultation.

Councillor Matthew Bennett, Lambeth’s Lead Member for Planning, Investment & New Homes remarked: “I’m delighted HFL has secured planning permission for 31 genuinely affordable new homes, including 22 new council homes […] these homes will be built to the highest standards for local families and deliver significant reductions in carbon.”
