BPTW’s planning consultancy team, in collaboration with clients housing association L&Q and London South East Colleges, have submitted an application to Greenwich Council to create a new state of the art facility on LSEC’s Greenwich campus as well as 294 new homes.

The proposals will create a new sustainable college campus on a portion of the existing campus site enabling LSEC to improve its curriculum offering through a flexible and modern space. The remaining land will be used for residential development ranging from 5 to 13 storeys, with 50% affordable homes and a large proportion of three-bed homes, providing much needed family sized housing. Our planners worked closely with architects Patel Taylor and Associated Architects in the development of the proposal, led pre-application discussions with Council Officers, participated in a number of community consultation events, and coordinated the submission of the full planning application.

We expect to learn the outcome of the planning application later this year, with the new campus set to be open by September 2025.
