The Lawns will provide 72 homes in Hackney, alongside numerous benefits for the community. These include the complete re-provision of a local shopping parade, an upgraded community resource centre as well as extensive public realm and landscape enhancements.
Working on behalf of Hanover Housing – a specialist provider of housing for people later in life – a proportion of the homes are designated as retirement age accommodation, of which 50% will be affordable housing.
BPTW secured consent for the scheme having submitted a full planning application for the redevelopment of the existing sheltered accommodation block. This was presented to committee in October 2017 and received unanimous approval from members.
