BPTW’s designs for Lawrence Square in Tottenham transformed a series of disused commercial and industrial buildings into a modern urban development.

The successful creation of a family friendly neighbourhood within this setting has been achieved by incorporating extensive play areas and soft landscaping into the design. In addition, the development’s mews houses are organised around various courtyards, creating dedicated communal spaces for residents to enjoy. At ground level, we optimised the nature of dual aspect homes to enhance live/work units, and animating the streetscape with interactive shop-style frontages.

An intense process of liaison with Haringey Council and consultation with local stakeholders resulted in a high-quality, bold design which considers and reflects the character of the adjacent Conservation Area and was instrumental in securing the full support of key Councillors at planning committee.
