bptw planning successfully achieved planning permission for this challenging mixed-use scheme located in Woolwich. The development, which will comprise of 34 flats and 455sqm of community space, is located in the Bathway Quarter of Woolwich, a historically sensitive location next to the Grade II listed Woolwich Town Hall. The scheme will see the re-development of the former Grand Theatre and Regal Cinema at 38 Wellington Street, contributing to the regeneration of the local area. Designed in a contemporary style, the building designs take architectural cues from the adjacent Town Hall and surrounding areas.

A previous scheme put forward by another development team had been refused a few years ago and, as a result, the project required sensitive consultation with local stakeholders, resulting in the re-provision of ground-floor space for community use. Planning permission was granted in July 2014 subject to a s106 agreement.
