Valentine, London Bridge
Operating as planning consultant on behalf of Acorn Property Group, bptw successfully obtained planning permission from LB Southwark for the demolition of a vacant 2-storey public house in close proximity to London Bridge for redevelopment as residential units.
The development, now complete, creates a 7-storey building with 19 residential apartments and a retail unit at ground and basement levels. The scheme at 171 Long Lane involved the demolition of the vacant Valentine & Orson public house which had fallen into a state of disrepair having been vacant for over 6 years. bptw planning were responsible for leading on negotiations with LB Southwark, putting together a strong case demonstrating how the proposals adhered to The Southwark Plan, and successfully highlighting how the mixed used development would breathe new life into the formerly neglected area.
