bptw were employed by L&Q to co-ordinate the project team in securing planning permission for the redevelopment of a former car showroom site on Old Kent Road, Camberwell. The private-led mixed use development has been developed to provide 85 contemporary residential units in a mix of 1-4 bed duplexes and family homes, along with commercial space fronting on to Old Kent Road. Homes provide modern living options with flexible layouts and sliding screens to partition or open up living areas. High quality landscaping has been developed around the scheme including courtyard spaces for the apartments and private gardens for the family homes.

bptw were responsible for liaising with Southwark Council throughout the development process, overseeing the planning submission and assisting in negotiating the S106 agreement for the scheme which was granted planning permission in 2011. The development will provide 13 shared ownership and 8 social rented units with the remainder of the homes being reserved for private sale.
