Renaissance is a transformative development in central Lewisham consisting of a striking new leisure centre, 788 homes, and over 1,800 sqm of commercial space.

Advising on all aspects of planning strategy up to submission of the planning application, we were retained as part of the delivery team, dealing with issues relating to the s106 and planning conditions. BPTW led on all negotiations with the GLA, the local planning authority and statutory consultees. Throughout the process we led many successful public consultation sessions to address the concerns of local groups and residents.

New spaces for businesses have been created with the inclusion of commercial and business units to encourage creative industries into the area, and the public realm will be improved with new open spaces and piazzas. The project was recognised with a London Planning Award in 2014.
