Rawalpindi House provides 53 new homes on the site of a former care home which had stood vacant for a number of years. The designs of the 53 homes for Genesis Housing Association include associated landscaping, access, refuse/recycling facilities, and cycle storage.
BPTW operated as joint lead consultant throughout the pre-application process, leading discussions with housing, transport and a number of member forums to determination at various planning and cabinet meetings. Adhering to Newham’s Sustainable Community Strategy for 2010-2013, BPTW were instrumental in engaging with the local community which resulted in strong community backing and planning approval being achieved for the site in 2013.
