Brentford Block D is part of the Brentford Waterside Masterplan which will help to regenerate Brentford High Street by providing over 1,000sqm of flexible commercial floorspace at ground floor and 96 affordable homes above.
BPTW provided strategic planning advice to increase the height and density of the scheme and reduce parking levels from those anticipated in the outline permission. Post submission, BPTW liaised closely with the planning officer throughout the determination period, coordinating a number of responses from design team members to ensure all objections raised were withdrawn without the need to substantially change the submission; this ensured that the scheme was presented to the client’s target committee and a committee approval was secured. BPTW secured approval for the site in November 2017.
