Photos taken this week show progress on bptw’s scheme at Scarbrook Road, Croydon.
The development, currently being marketed as Vertex, is situated close to Croydon Town Centre and provides 98 residential units across a mix of tenures with a high proportion reserved for private rent. The building which has been designed to provide a much needed active frontage at street level and give the area a pedestrian friendly feel, features terracotta cladding in varying colour shades, render and metal cladding. The terracotta element is intended to add definition and set apart the building as a landmark. Amenity space is provided through communal roof terraces and private roof terraces as well as private outdoor space to ground floor units and individual balconies to most dwellings.
As part of Croydon’s “Skyline” project, the building will incorporate lighting on its uppermost levels to provide night time illumination.
