Fabrika, Bow, East London

Client: Willmott Dixon

bptw architecture provided post-contract design services for the highly acclaimed Donnybrook Quarter – now known as Fabrika. Comprising 35 apartments, maisonettes and houses across a mix of tenures, the award winning scheme is derived from Andalusian designs with white rendered homes set around pedestrian mews with private courtyards and roof terraces.

Designed up to planning by Peter Barber Architects, the project won First Prize for Circle 33's and Architecture Foundation's prestigious innovation in Housing Competition, has been published and exhibited widely, and received an RIBA award and Housing Design Award. Throughout the construction phase bptw worked closely with contractor Willmott Dixon to deliver the working drawings for the successful implementation of the project.
