Sittingbourne Mill and Wharf
bptw’s planners and architects are working on behalf of Essential Land to develop exciting plans for a disused paper mill, once the largest newsprint factory in the world, and wharf site in Sittingbourne, Kent.
bptw partnership has led on the planning negotiations and developed the masterplan for the £95 million mixed use regeneration project, which will provide up to 250 new homes, landscaped amenity, a supermarket and retail park.
The development will be a catalyst for the wider regeneration of Sittingbourne town centre and provide much needed high quality family housing and private amenity spaces. Improvements to the public realm in the area will make surrounding streets feel safer with better links for pedestrians and cyclists to the station and into the town centre.
