Ladywell Police Station

bptw’s planners have secured planning permission for the redevelopment of Ladywell Police Station, a Grade II Listed building.

The scheme, near Lewisham, will see the demolition of the cell blocks at the former police station and the remaining converted into eight flats. At the rear of the building an additional 37 apartments will be built provding one-three bed accomodation with landscaping to the grounds. The new building will be linked to the original police station by walkways and terraces.

Accommodation will be provided as mixed tenure with private sale, rent and shared ownership options. The building is in a conservation area with several tree preservation orders around the site needing careful attention. Close to public transport links, the scheme is well sited to encourage the use of public transport. Cycle storage provision is also to be provided on the site to encourge greener methods of transport.
