Convoys Wharf
Working collaboratively with Aedas Architecture, bptw’s planning team has submitted a planning application for the exciting Convoys Wharf development. The proposed scheme in Deptford, south east London, is set across a 16ha site, originally a royal dockyard used to build ships for King Henry VIII’s navy.
With over 3,500 new homes and approximately 36,000 sq metres of commercial floor space, once complete Convoys Wharf will form one of the largest developments in the Thames Gateway area. The scheme will provide office space, retail units, a hotel and high quality mixed tenure residential apartments with associated landscaping and riverside amenity space.
The development will also make provision for a working wharf and river bus service, together with the refurbishment of the Grade II listed Olympia Warehouse for mixed use and the creation of a large public piazza. The scheme will generate many new jobs and will also provide a new primary school.
