TS Trafalgar Sea Cadets Hall
bptw’s cost consultants played a key role in the new TS Trafalgar hall. The site of the original cadets hall was involved in a land transfer arrangement where the developer agreed to demolish the existing building and construct a new purpose built modern centre primarily used by young persons from the local Sea Cadet Corps. This also incorporated a bar and hall area to provide lettable space for private functions during out of hours use.
The new building has been built using a concrete frame construction with brick and block infill panels sitting on columns over boat storage, allowing transparency of the adjacent amenity spaces. Large areas of glazing create a light, airy environment in which the cadets can train and learn new skills.
