Twinkle Park

bptw partnership were the quantity surveyors and planning supervisors for the Twinkle Park project, which has revitalised a formerly derelict open space.

David Ireland Associate’s landscape architectural design for Twinkle Park has provided the local community with a beautiful wildlife sanctuary and public garden.

One area for the park consists of attractive timber decking around a pond, greenery and large rock features.

The other half of the park provides a playground that is shared with a local school. As a measure of safety and facility, a prominent stainless steel structure is a key feature for the playground area.

Twinkle Park provided unusual and exciting challenges for bptw partnership’s cost consultancy discipline, and has resulted in a highly popular project that was delivered on time and to budget.

The project has received high acclaim and in 2000 won a Civic Trust Award.
