Kender Estate

bptw partnership have provided cost consultancy services for the regeneration of 720 homes at the former Kender Estate in New Cross, London. The practice has been involved in the refurbishment of 355 existing homes in the Kender neighbourhood, specifically undertaking the role of quantity surveyor in partnership with the practice’s masterplanning and architectural team.

The design and implementation of improvements to the existing properties took place following an extensive and highly successful consultation programme, and residents remained in occupation of their homes throughout the refurbishment process.

The refurbishment process has included the provision of frail and elderly accommodation at The White House, and design enhancements to two 12-storey residential tower blocks at Hatfield Close.

Wider regeneration of the Kender neighbourhood has involved refurbishment and new build designs at Gerrard House and Lubbock Street; Boddington, Boulter, Haydon and Trotman; Huntloe; Hammond & Palmer and Richard Anderson Court.
