Sittingbourne Mill and Wharf
Working on behalf of Essential Land, bptw partnership’s architects are currently working on the regeneration of the historic Sittingbourne Paper Mill site. The masterplan will transform the site into an exciting mixed use development; kick starting the wider regeneration of Sittingbourne.
Utilising the expertise of an external Public Affairs consultancy service, a dedicated community website was launched, providing an overview of the proposals; and a Q&A section to answer common questions and provide information on the consultation process.
In addition a social media campaign including Facebook and Twitter was launched to provide forum for consultees to interact with the consultation team and each other by taking part in online discussions.
bptw’s architects and planning team worked alongside the new media devices by taking part in a series of public exhibitions including a community involvement day where comments from all visitors where noted by the team and used to influence further design development.
