Goat Wharf

As part of the design development process on the Goat Wharf project, bptw undertook a series of community consultation sessions in collaboration with the client, Notting Hill Housing. The events enabled the local community and high street retailers to view proposals, discuss ideas or concerns and gain a better understanding of the positive improvements which were to be undertaken in their local area.

bptw used a range of methods to convey ideas including boards and models, with staff on hand to talk about any aspects of the design proposals. The consultation events were well attended by a range of local people. bptw proposed a design solution for the site that was in keeping with the surrounding context, meeting the aspirations of existing neighbours and key stakeholders.

Residents were particularly welcoming of the new connection with the High Street, the arrival terrace and the improved and inviting access to Goat Wharf, a design aspect which was maintained throughout the planning process.
