Stockwell Park and Robstart Village

bptw partnership was appointed to develop the masterplan for the regeneration of Stockwell Park and Robstart Village estate in South London.

Comprising approximately 550 new build and 532 refurbishment properties, the chief aims of the masterplan were to provide sustainable new homes, refurbish existing homes and provide environment and landscape improvements across the neighbourhood.

Social, economic and environmental sustainability of the neighbourhood was a paramount concern, with proposals that aim to create a cohesive public realm across the area. Secured By Design standards are integrated throughout the design. Links with established routes to local amenities and public transport are reinforced.

Existing trees have been retained throughout the neighbourhood to provide a mature setting enhanced with extensive new street tree planting and public art. Cycle stores provide an environmentally friendly and economically efficient option for transport.

The new build properties are served by a CHP plant and a sustainable urban drainage system which have helped to achieve the 10% renewable energy target for the development.
