Sittingbourne Mill and Wharf
bptw’s architects and planners have developed exciting designs for a disused paper mill, once the largest newsprint factory in the world, and wharf site in Sittingbourne, Kent. The complex 7.7 ha masterplan includes a Morrisons supermarket as an anchor retail store alongside a leisure building, 150 mixed tenure homes, a linear park, a large riverside ecology park and a heritage community building.
Acting as a catalyst for the wider regeneration of Sittingbourne Town Centre, the masterplan was created by bptw working in close collaboration with the client, Essential Land, Swale Borough Council, Kent County Council, design panels and key stakeholders to maximise the regeneration benefits to the area.
