Goat Wharf
bptw partnership has undertaken designs for a new wharf development overlooking the Thames in Brentford, west London.
The scheme comprises 86 high quality residential units and commercial space which fronts on to Brentford high street.
Designs include angled balconies which have the ability to give the maximum number of flats views of the River Thames looking towards Kew Gardens on the other side of the river. Maximising river views improves the sales values, generating added value to the client.
Amenity space is provided for residents with a shared central courtyard and private balconies along with the potential for additional private amenity using roof gardens. The development also includes a new public arrival square and vast landscaping improvements to Goat Wharf.
The development of the site along with the riverside ecology park complements the objectives as set out in the London Plan Blue Ribbon Network opening up and addressing the proposed new public accessible River Thames pathway.
The scheme meets Code Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. To achieve this requirement the development uses passive design measures, photovoltaic panels and a brown roof in addition to a small ecology park to the River Thames pathway.
