Clyde Terrace

bptw partnership’s designs for a new mixed use development in Forest Hill, South London, will provide commercial and residential space ideally situated for rail transport links from Forest Hill Station.

The development is located on a former manufacturing site within a conservation area. The designs for the development have carefully considered surrounding urban context while serving to improve pedestrian thoroughfares and provide new homes and commercial opportunities.

The ground floor of Clyde Terrace will house commercial units of various sizes, for the flexible use of local businesses, offering new investment and employment opportunities. Approximately 80 new jobs will be created as a result of the development.

The residential component of the scheme also comprises 10 live/work units.

Arranged around landscaped pathways to enhance pedestrian accessibility to local rail and bus links, the building features enclosed sunspaces to maximise views and solar gain while protecting residents from noise from the railway and enhancing the interior space of each of the units.
