Tramway House
Overlooking the River Thames, Tramway House is a landmark development of spacious apartments in the Thames Gateway region, located in Erith, Kent.
Providing 55 new mixed tenure apartments, Tramway House has been constructed from steel frames and volumetric units developed off-site.
The contemporary design of the building features terracotta tile, timber panel and render cladding. Arranged around a south-facing landscaped courtyard, the apartments benefit from enclosed sunspaces, balconies and generous living space.
Jon Rouse, the former Chief Executive of the Housing Corporation, has made the following statements regarding the development:
“Tramway House, which I visited last October, is an excellent example of what can be achieved when Housing Corporation funding is given to innovative partners and combined with modern methods of construction – high-quality, environmentally friendly, affordable new homes, delivered quickly and with minimum disruption to neighbouring residents. The residents of Tramway House have new homes they can be proud of.”
