Joseph Tritton
bptw partnership have designed a new mixed tenure residential development on the former Joseph Tritton School site in west London.
The scheme comprises 130 affordable homes for shared ownership and rent, arranged around two large landscaped courtyards. Design features include metal-framed balconies with brick cladding arranged in alternating bands and colourful tiled balcony walls.
bptw partnership has worked in close consultation with the local authority and the community of Battersea to ensure that the scheme reflects the scale and ambience of the surrounding area and presents a strong street frontage.
Over 40 new trees have been planted to provide a habitat for local wildlife, and the layout of the scheme has created new pedestrian and cycling routes to link the development with the existing surroundings.
