Gallon Close

bptw partnership has designed a highly sustainable set of seven houses in Charlton, south east London.

Gallon Close is a new build residential scheme replacing a disused mediation centre, in close proximity to Charlton football ground. The seven, four bedroom family houses will be offered as general needs rent.

The scheme is intended to promote excellent sustainable living and will achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 5. To reach this target the design includes several green solutions such as a Structural Insulated Panel System (SIPS), rainwater harvesting, photovoltaics, solar water heating and a heat recovery system.
