Forest Road

Sustainable and contemporary design are the key features of a new scheme to be developed on the site of a disused garage in north London. bptw partnership are the architects of the residential scheme, which will result in 45 new affordable homes.

Located on a prominent corner block on Forest Road in Walthamstow, the residential development will comprise a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments and maisonettes.

Lighting and power in the shared spaces throughout the scheme will be fuelled with renewable energy sources generated from wind turbines, and robust materials and insulation specified throughout the development will provide residents with energy efficient homes.

The four-storey building features brightly coloured panels, punctuating windows and generous steel railing balconies, which texture the two-tone brick elevations. Top floor apartments within the scheme benefit from a wrap-around roof terrace balcony, offering excellent views and outdoor amenity.
