The White House

As part of the wider regeneration of the Kender Estate, bptw has completed refurbished these flats for the frail elderly, externally with smart terracotta cladding and double glazing and internally with refitted kitchens and bathrooms.

An extension to the existing lounge space at the White House offers improved access and views over a new garden. New opportunities for learning, socialising and relaxation have been created, including hairdressing and internet facilities. Entrances have been improved by attractive verandas and landscaping, including a water feature.

The 48 self contained flats and communal facilities were refurbished with residents in occupation, requiring a high level of sensitivity to residents’ individual needs.

bptw partnership also provided cost consultancy, quantity surveyor and planning supervisor services on this project.
