Silwood Community Centre

bptw partnership has designed a stunning new community centre on the ground floor of a new mixed tenure residential building as part of the wider regeneration of the Silwood Estate in south London.

Now complete, the building provides a new focus for the community with a range of facilities including a soft play area, meeting room, an office and computer suite, main hall and landscaped garden.

Featuring coloured glazing, zinc windows and roof structures characteristic of the surrounding architectural style, the building’s robust material palette will ensure its energy efficiency and long-term sustainability.

bptw partnership has also designed the affordable rented and shared ownership homes on the upper floors of the community centre, and in an adjacent building. Comprising one and two-bedroom flats, and a one-bedroom maisonette, the new scheme provides a 33 new homes.
