Barnsbury Community Centre

As part of the wider Barnsbury Estate regeneration bptw has been commissioned to design a new community hall.

Cross subsidised by 19 shared ownership units have been built on the existing community centre site, the new facility will give the local residents a modern and flexible new facility.

Local resident consultation formed a key part of the design process for the new centre. The resulting brief will ensure that the future needs and requirements of the centre would meet the residents’ expectations.

The centre comprises of two generous hall spaces, a seminar room, toilets, kitchen, storage space, a reception/staff office and an outside terrace area. The building also houses an office for BELMO, the tenants management organisation.
