Tottenham Town Hall

bptw partneship’s designs for the regeneration of the former Clyde Road depot site in north London will create an exciting new hub for the local community.

Development of the site will result in the provision of over 140 new homes and the exciting redevelopment of the 101-year-old grade-II listed town hall.

The refurbished town hall will accommodate new retail and community space, a restaurant, a landscaped courtyard facing the Bernie Grant performing arts centre and a new educational facility for the College of North East London.

Opening a vibrant central public space and providing a town centre that connects neighbouring streets and parklands while providing a sustainable and aspirational living, working and recreational facilities are the key objectives of the designs for the site.

Planning approval for the project was achieved in November 2006, and received the following support from Haringey Councillor, Toni Mallett:

‘This is an important step forward in bringing new life to this part of Tottenham and preserving the heritage of the Town Hall. This scheme will provide new facilities for local people and much-needed new housing, as well as complementing the Bernie Grant Centre now under construction.’
