Charlton Triangle

bptw partnership’s has provided architectural and cost consultancy services for the wider regeneration of Charlton Triangle, including estate regeneration and refurbishment and the new build developments of Victoria Way, Rectory Field Crescent, Bramhope Lane and East Mascalls in south London

The initial regeneration at Charlton involved extensive community and resident consultation for refurbishments to 1286 homes in four housing estates. bptw partnership worked in partnership with the local authority and housing association to manage the stock transfer process, which received ECRF funding. The practice played an integral in the design and refurbishment programme which was undertaken with residents in occupation.

Refurbishment works involved significant refurbishment of low-rise flats and a tower block, common areas, external spaces and play areas. The detailed works have included replacement of windows, systems refits, and security enhancements in accordance with Secured By Design standards.

The new build developments will result in 225 homes of mixed tenure for affordable rent and private sale, including houses and apartments. Featuring brick, render and timber cladding, the homes are contemporary in design and provide spacious living areas and private amenity.
