Renaissance, Loampit Vale, Lewisham

Client: Barratt London
Quanta: 788 residential units, 1,856sqm commercial space and a leisure centre, including swimming pool, café, crèche, climbing wall and health spa

bptw was appointed as lead consultant on this exciting new urban centre situated in the heart of Lewisham. In addition to 788 new Code 4 homes, Renaissance will feature a striking new leisure centre. New spaces for businesses have been created with the inclusion of commercial and business units to encourage creative industries into the area, and the public realm will be much improved with new open spaces and piazzas.

bptw led on all negotiations with the GLA, the local planning authority and statutory consultees. The quality and thoroughness of the planning services bptw provided, along with the fully coordinated approach, ultimately contributed to the scheme being granted planning approval on the first application. Throughout the process bptw led many successful public consultation sessions to address the concerns of local groups and residents. The project was recognised with a London Planning Award in 2014.
