bptw’s planning team were appointed to secure planning approval for the redevelopment of a site on Pages Walk in Bermondsey, Southwark. The site, currently accommodating a warehouse and distribution centre, will be redeveloped to provide 82 apartments centred around a landscaped courtyard. The private led scheme comprises a mix of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom units including 19 affordable units. Children’s play space, roof terraces and basement car parking have all been incorporated into the scheme which was designed by architects Buckley Gray Yeoman.

bptw were responsible for leading on consultation with LB Southwark. The team were required to collate the necessary reports and assessments from various consultants, liasing closely with the design team to demonstrate how the design adhered to the relevant national, regional and local policies outlined in the NPPF, The London Plan and The Southwark Plan.
