Greengate House, Newham
bptw achieved unanimous approval for the redevelopment of Greengate House, Cave Road, London. The scheme, designed by PTEa for client Genesis Housing Association, will involve the demolition of a former Newham residential care home and refurbishment of an existing Victorian building to provide 27 modern apartments and 15 houses with surrounding landscaped areas.
bptw were responsible for providing strategic advice as well as reviewing and coordinating the input of the design team to assemble all application documentation. Our planners took the lead on negotiations with LB Newham who accepted the proposal at committee, commending the proposals for maintaining the unique character of the site by retaining the features of an old Victorian school, and incorporating existing mature trees within the development.
