bptw were appointed by SEL UK to oversee an application to stage one of the world’s leading show jumping championships at The International Quarter, a site adjacent to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The Global Champions Tour took place in June 2013 and was billed as assisting to cement the equestrian legacy from the London Olympic Games. The event, televised on the BBC and Eurosport, was contested by the world’s top riders, including Team GB gold medallists Nick Skelton, Scott Brash and Ben Maher.

The event involved the construction of a 3,000 seater main arena, warm-up arena, stabling area for 290 horses, and a retail village. bptw submitted the application to the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC), liasing with LLDC representatives throughout the process to secure approval.
