Two members of bptw staff recently took part in the Shine Night Walk to fundraise for Cancer Research UK. The walk, which took place last weekend on Saturday evening, raises money for research into over 200 different forms of cancer, with participants walking either a half or full marathon around the city of London.

Architect Ken Lee and architectural assistant Muna Abdallah completed their 14 mile walk in just over 4 hours, starting at Southwark Park and taking in the sights of The Gherkin, Shakespeare’s Globe, the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Battersea Power Station and St Paul’s Cathedral before finishing at Old Billingsgate Market at 11.53pm.

The event saw 60,000 people take part with a total of £5million raised for Cancer Research UK.
